Hen Night OOTN

So it was my best friend's hen do last night so thought I'd do a post about my outfit.

I had no idea what to wear initially, dress or skirt? Long or short? Plain or patterned?

I trawled through the high street & eventually found a lush dress in debenhams. It was by Red Herring and originally £45! But in the sale I got it for a bargain price of £12 then got 20% off too so only paid £9.60! Woo love a bargain!

Here's the dress (and of course we had to wear a sash!)

MUA Power Pout!

Heard of kissable balm stains? What about chubby sticks? That’s right, those lip balms which stain your lips and leave them soft, colourful and kissable!
Well there’s a new one on the band wagon by drugstore brand MUA! The Power Pout is a balm stain which does what it says on the tin! Stains your lips!
The colour pay off is good and the colour range is great too. There’s 5 shades ranging from a nude to a dark purple, theres a colour to suit each and every look and personality.
I have the darkest shade, Crazy in love, picture number 2 below and it’s a great colour! Really intense but not too ott as it’s just a balm stain and not a harsh heavy lip colour.
Check out some of the shades below, and more on their website!
If you want to try them, or are new to the whole balm stain scene these are definitely a good buy, as at only £3 each you can’t go wrong!
Good work MUA, good work!

Fashion For Spring!

I went to London this weekend and enjoyed my time in the fashion capital of the UK. (But if I’m honest, I was being a proper tourist and me and my boyfriend were armed with backpacks and I wasn’t looking overly stylish haha).
While I was there though I got to see lots of the new items and accessories which have hit the big brands and the high street for this Spring Summer.
Below are a few of my have pieces for SS13 and hopefully what I’ll be getting my hands on to wear over the next few months (come on sunshine!!!!)
I’m loving Topshop at the mo so it’s all from there and a bit pricey, oooops!
Tapestry Flower Skirt £34
Tapestry is IN! and I’m loving this floral print! Want to wear this with a white cami and some sandals! Pop on the big sunnies and summer outfit is made! Love It!

Cream Cut Out Skirt £36
This reminds me of the gypsy boho trend! Yay it’s coming back! Love this and want to wear it with a black cami or strapless black top and cute sandals!

Embellished Sequin Top £42
These tops are everywhere at the moment and can definitely bring some class and a bit of bling to summer evenings! Skinny jeans + this and some peep toe black patent heels = winning!!

Embellished Shorts £38
Shorts are AMAZING in the summer, so I’m definitely embracing these cute embellished ones. They look like a skirt too so aren’t too structured.

Bag £32
Big luggage bags and backpacks are back and I love this floral and panther print one. It’s bright pink colour is perfect for those summer weekends away.

Perfect summer style :) x

Primark Nail Wraps Review

Well I saw these in Primark for the bargain price of £1, so thought why not? May as well try them and if they don’t work it’s not a lot of money lost.

On the packet it says to put the sticker/wrap on top of a clean nail with no nail varnish. I didn’t do this as I have massive man hands, literally. so for me the stickers were a tad on the small side on some fingers so I opted to paint my nails the base colour of the sticker itself.

Putting the stickers on was easy. Practise will make perfect though as I did have a few which were a tad wrinkled due to me not putting them on and smoothing them out flat, but it’s not noticeable when on the nail although it may show up on other designs.

After putting them on I trimmed off the excess length at the top of the nail and filed the rest off like the pack instructed. It actually left a pretty good finish which I was impressed with.

To finish off the look I painted a top coat all over the nail to make sure the sticker stayed stuck.

The photos below are straight after I applied the stickers and on day 3 (and by day 3 I’d washed my hair and everything so they were definitely put to the test.)

For £1 you can’t go wrong. A bargain price for a decent product. They’re nice for a quick fix and would look good for a few days but I can’t see them lasting a week! But they’re so easy to apply there’s no strain if having to apply more.
